DESIGN PROCESS

Our experienced designers help teams create identities! Your Customer Service Representative will work with you through the entire process of creating your unique team design. See our Design Fees. A printer friendly version of this information is available.

The first step is to brief us on your design ideas.

Some customers give us a detailed briefing with photos, drawings and logos etc. Others give us a vague idea of what they would like and look to us for creativity. At F2P we offer a full design service, so we are happy to deal with whatever approach works best for your team.

However, the more specific and articulate your briefing is, the faster and better our designers will be able to reproduce your ideas!  If you want, you can download our design templates and draw your ideas.

We present our designs in a visual format that gives you a clear view of how your teamwear will look like in real life - not 'flat' production files which are hard to understand.

We will email you a PDF or JPEG version of the draft design ideas (these files can be viewed on any computer). You can then send us your verbal, written or drawn feedback in order to refine the idea.  Your assigned designer will work to complete the design to your standards for final approval.

Please make sure you are happy with the design that you approve; changes cannot be made to the design from this point onwards.

In some cases our customers prefer to do the design work themselves. In this case we do not charge any design fees, but require that our design guidelines are adhered too.

We have strict criteria for the logos and colours that we use in our designs. This is to ensure the design and print quality of your teamwear remain world-class - no compromises!  If you have particular logos and colours you want incorporated into the design they must meet our design guidelines.

In cases where your logos and colours do not meet our design guidelines our designers will simply reproduce them to the standard we need to keep our promise to you; of only the highest quality customised sportswear. See our Design Fees.

DESIGN GUIDELINES: USING F2P'S DESIGN TEAM

For our skilled designers to turn your ideas into reality there are some basic guidelines and requirements we need from you. Your Customer Service Representative will help you with these requirements.

More Details >>
  • If you would like to visually show us your ideas you can draw on our design templates and email them to us. Please indicate in your drawing what features and logos go where and what colours you would like.  Do not worry about artistic ability! One of our designers will tidy it up.
  • If you have logos that you would like incorporated in your design these need to be fully vectorised and Adobe Illustrator (.AI) or Encapsulated PostScript (.EPS) files. The owner or original designer of the logos will understand these requirements and should have a copy in the right format if you ask them.
The more common Bitmap files (such as .JPEG .GIF .BMP etc) are generally not usable, nor are logos from websites. We need to use .AI or .EPS files in order to edit and scale the logo without losing print resolution - this is the only way we can achieve a super high quality print finish on your teamwear.
If you are not sure if your logo file formats is suitable just email it to us and we will let you know. If you cannot get the .AI or .EPS files our designers can reproduce the logo for you - just email us the best representation of the logo you have. See our Design Fees.
  • If you have exact colours in mind please express these using The Pantone Matching System®. The Pantone Matching System® is the industry standard we use to ensure excellent colour matches.
We can also work with CMYK and RBG colours, or general directions such as 'Dark Red'. We will convert these to the most appropriate Pantone colour and present it in the design file we send you for approval.
  • If you have a specific font you would like us to use please tell us the full style name.
  • We can also work with existing designs that you want changes made to. Please email us photos or design files. But please make sure you have the design and logo ownership rights to do so. See our Terms & Conditions.
  • We try to keep the design process as simple and unintimidating as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact your Customer Service Representative if you have questions.

DESIGN GUIDELINES: USING YOUR OWN DESIGNER

If you want to do the design work yourself we will not charge you any design fees, but we ask that you closely follow our guidelines.  Your Customer Service Representative will overview the process to help ensure everything meets our technical requirements.
